Second reply, to address John's first and second specific questions: This is not a legal answer, but my personal opinion: If it were me, I'd just use the software if I could find the license data. Having the license data is, IMO, both ethically and practically the determining factor. As a practical matter, TMG cannot work (is greatly limited, anyway) beyond the 30-day trial without a valid license being applied. (30-day trial *can* be used to extract the data, either to computer form or to print.) I think the third question might apply to Karen, but is moot for us "data donors", since we can't count on the licenses being available at any point in the future. (As I understand it from this list, only RUG still has licenses available; haven't heard anything about how many.) It has, after all, been a year since the official end of sales.
