This discussion about the Data_paths.txt file interests me because if I understood it better, maybe it could help me with an unsolved problem. I posted the following on the list a few weeks ago but have never found out whether anything can be done to fix the worst part of my problem. Some of my questions were answered, thanks to Terry, so I have edited my question down, but the basic problem is still there. When dealing with a problem generating PDF reports with TMG (problem now solved), I uninstalled and reinstalled TMG 9.05, using a setup file in My Documents/TMG9 folder, but something went wrong, because the program I have now is not working correctly. I can run it, and work with my data, which is OK as far as I know, and the About TMG screen says I have v 9.05, but so far I've noticed the following: 1) The Welcome screen always has Last greyed out, so I always have to select my project. 2) Nothing happens when I click on Help, or Help Contents, in the Help menu. F1 doesn't do anything either. 3) When I first click the icon to start TMG, a little box of irregular shape flashes on and off a couple of times before the welcome screen appears. Not a problem, but might be a clue to what is going on. Also, in case this might be a clue to my problem, the first time I opened my project after reinstalling, the person who was displayed was someone I last edited in July 2014 - sometime before version 9.05. Now that I have restored my latest backup it opens to the person I last edited. But the two problems remain. I'll really appreciate some guidance. If a possible issue with Data_Paths.txt isn't the cause, does anybody have any ideas what might be? Joan Lince
