Teresa, Do not set the margins in TMG for *extra* gutter space wanted before sending the document from TMG to Word, just leave the margin setting at the default in TMG. You set the margins for *extra* left margin space by setting the gutter space in the Word document *after* TMG has printed the document to Word. In Word (with the document on the screen) you should change the margins to *include* a 0.5 in. left gutter in that document, only. That will give you a total 1 in. left margin (.5 gutter, plus .5 in. that TMG has dictated). It is not necessary or advisable (that would just create extra work because you would need to change the default back) to change the default margin settings for all future document margins in Word. After changing the margins to include the .5 in. gutter in Word for that document only, re-format the document on the screen. You can run the curser up or down the entire pages of the document to achieve a reformat but there are other ways of reformatting the document. Then you should be able to see the *extra* 1/2 in. on the left margin. John B. But when TMG sends the report to Word, it resets that margin back to .5". Is there a setting in TMG that I can tell it what I want the margins to be, since it isn't using the Word default template. If I change it after the ID is printed, it shifts everything right .5" and then the text flows off the page.
