While many of you are dealing with the vagaries of WIN10 conversion, I finally upgraded to 8.1. I’ll wait 6 months until I attempt 10. I think TMG came on successfully but I have one glaring glitch that deals with saved Family Group reports that were created on Word 97-2003. When I try to open them I am told “A table in this document has become corrupted.” Neither I nor a number of experienced 8.1 users can follow Word’s suggestion to “open and repair” since we can’t find the toggle that brings us to it. If I create a new Family Group report it too is corrupted. However, if I attach a “corrupted” report to an email to a user of an older version of Word, it can be opened just fine. When they send it back to me, it is corrupted. It does not appear other types of reports are infected. Any thoughts? Is this a WORD problem or a TMG problem? PWH
Paul - See Help for the Family Group sheet and the box at the top of the page. The table module in Word 2013 was completely rewritten and is not compatible with the TMG FGS and other tabular reports. Use RTF when saving the FGS to Word.
