John, If she wants something free, why not use the ZIP features built into Windows? It's obviously free, and couldn't be much simpler to use. To un-ZIP, simply click on the ZIPed folder and drag the desired files to another location, or right-click on the folder and choose Extract All. To Zip a file or files, right-click and choose Send To > Commpressed (zipped) Folder. Terry Reigel
