Toby, I am not a Mac person, but if I read it correctly Android File Transfer is just for transferring your data from the Mac to your Android phone? You need something on your phone to see and open the files (in particular the SS index.htm file). I use a program called "ES File Explorer" it is free and does not have adverts. You download it from the Android store. There are probably many programs for exploring files on an Android but I find this one works for me and the price was right!. Barbara has told you how to create a shortcut so you can open SS easily without having to go through ES File Explorer (if that is what you will use) every time. I have this set up on my Note 3 running Anrodid 4.4.2 without any problems. Gedstar Pro is OK too, and I have that as well. But one limitation I find is its lack of useful place searching capabilities. So in SS I add the Master Place Index item which gives me very powerful place searching.
