As much as I would hate to do it, I think a web based application is the way the industry is going. For me that means using TMG or SS to create a GEDCOM that would be compatible with say, Ancestry, and then upload it. However, that may not be the best of the on-line services. I have looked at WikiTree because of its great use of DNA tests. That is the final solution to discovering the parents of my immigrant ancestor. As I get closer to retirement I realize that all of my work will disappear when I do so I am working to find the best on-line service.
