As much as we know that we do not want to change from TMG, we believe that eventually it will either be in our best interest or we may feel forced to change to another genealogy software. What are others doing? What have they changed to and are you happy with the change? Rolene Kiesling, Groveland, CA
Rolene There appears to be three alternatives at present that allow you to import from TMG with a measure of success Rootsmagic Legacy Family Historian None is perfect and personally I am waiting for a little more of the wood to hit the trees and them to sort out the issues of such imports. Additionally as I publish my trees online I am waiting for John Cardinal to finalise the Gedcom import version of Second Site. The websites from any of the other offerings pail into insignificance when compared with it Regards John Hanson Researcher, The Halsted Trust Website - www.halstedresearch.org.uk -----Original Message----- From: tmg-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:tmg-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of rolene via Sent: 19 June 2015 05:28 To: tmg@rootsweb.com Subject: [TMG] TMG Alternative As much as we know that we do not want to change from TMG, we believe that eventually it will either be in our best interest or we may feel forced to change to another genealogy software.
