Tami, FAMS and FAMC denote membership in a family. FAMS is used for husbands and wives (I believe the "S" is for "spouse"). FAMC is for children. If I recall correctly, TMG does not guarantee that the family number assigned to a family will be the same number on successive exports to a GEDCOM file. In a TMG GEDCOM file, a person may be a spouse in multiple families. I don't think they can be a child in multiple families, i.e., there will only be oneFAMC record for an individual. John
