Teresa, Did you ever get this worked out? I'm having the same problem. I have tried uninstalling the printer and the driver. Opened the program with "run as administrator" can print to PDF fine. Opened the program normally (not as admin) get "printer not activated" error message. Closed out of program. Reopened with run as admin, told it to install the PDF printer, and printed fine. Closed program. Went in again normally, not as admin, but still get "printer not activated" error message. I'm running on Windows 10, 64 bit. Has anyone gotten this to work? I'm especially concerned about it since there will be no further updates to TMG. I had to not run as administrator. If run as admin works right click on icon ans select prperties and the run as admin. This should fix it permanently. Use print to printer and select the MS PDF printer. I have not used it extensively but the limited experiments that I have done with it have all worked fine. -- Wade Oram
Wade, no I have not tried using the Microsoft PDF printer. I have an older version of Adobe Acrobat, so I have the Adobe PDF that I can use. Teresa, I have set TMG to run as administrator and created a shortcut using the task scheduler so that I won't get the UAC prompt everytime I start TMG. After I sent the email, I did find where someone posted you had to run TMG as an admin to get the print to PDF to work.
