Now I have installed TMG9. I work in the test phase with copies of my data. Allow me to fool a little; I will try to put myself deeper into the problem later. If I try to open one of my old projects, I get a message that I will need to open it in the original version (5 or 6) of TMG and make a backup there from. I have a lot of backup files, so I take the most recent and click on "Import". The funny thing is that in the dialog box is: "The Master Genealogist v4.x or earlier (* .SQZ)". Why v4 ??? I locate the file and click OK. The unpacking starts, but when it's complete, the buttons "Next" and "Finish" are grayed out. -- Kind regards Kurt Hansen > Den 23. dec. 2017 kl. 17.04 skrev Edward A Feustel <[email protected]>: > > So did you make a backup and do a restore? I didn't see that as an issue since there will be no more TMG updates, but if you do you can Restore a backup as John suggests. TMG 9 will place it by default in a folder labeled as TMG 9. But if you do that you will have to adjust the path names for backup, exhibits, etc. and for reports.
