Be careful with your use of Dropbox (or other Cloud storage). TMG does not work well with it. It can still be a convenient tool. Just be sure that none of your TMG folders/directories are to be synced with the Cloud service. Instead, if a file in a TMG folder needs to be in the Cloud, copy that file to a Cloud-synced folder outside of the TMG folder structure. Similarly, make your TMG backups to the TMG file structure and then copy the SQZ file (and any needed External Exhibits) to a Cloud-synced folder. Coming from the other direction, copy the files from the Cloud to the appropriate TMG folder. This would also apply to files on thumbdrive and the like when exchanging data. >With 81 exhibits, only 17 of which are external, it seems that it >will be easier to change the 17 to internal. Based on the (current) relatively small size of your project (3000 persons & 81 Exhibits), I would not be too concerned with the size of the backup SQZ file. If your project size was more in the 10,000 person or larger, with 100s of Exhibits size then backup file size can start to be a consideration. Considering the easy changing of 64 Exhibits to External to manually changing 17 Exhibits to Internal there is not that great a difference at this time. But I would suggest that you also consider the possibility of wanting to make the Internal to External change in the future. There are other advantages to External Exhibits than just reducing Backup file size. One is that of editing photos. It is be a lot easier to edit an External Exhibit than an Internal Exhibit. I find it much easier to store my image files in a "master" folder. Then, I copy a "master" file to a work folder. The edited file is the moved to TMG. If I later decide that the TMG Exhibit is not as I wish (usually after I print some reports) then I start over with the "master" file and go through the same process giving the now end result the same file name as before in TMG. Insofar as collaboration is concerned, I create the TMG backup without the External Exhibits included. Then I create a ZIP file of the desired Exhibits. I have a number of sub-fioders for my TMG Exhibits folder. Each of these is for a separate family/collaborator. So it is easy to make the ZIP file of the desired sub-folder. In this way, I send two files -- the project SQZ file and the Exhibits ZIP file. It is not as convenient as including Exhibits (either as Internal or External), but it is not that bad either. Often, I don't need to send the Exhibits ZIP file if I have not made as changes since the last exchange. As with everything in TMG, each user needs to evaluate and use it as best suits them. Lee
