Erik has a very unique problem with his million-plus people project. I am offering to personally help him accomplish his splitting, but suggest it may be time to continue this discussion and provide suggestions off-list directly with Erik. By the way, you need a current version of Excel to handle the list of ID numbers of his quantity of people, and even Excel can barely handle his list as its max is only 1,048,576 rows. Michael
I think that, if I had to split my own project, I would spit it into father's line and mother's line and have one project for each, at least, if the didn't have a lot of ancestors in common.
