    3. Hi All, It has been a number of years since I updated my genealogy and worked on TMG 9. for awhile I thought of switching to Family Legacy but realized I would need to spend too much time reorganizing and fixing things up…. so I have decided to stick with TMG for the near future in the hopes that the HRE project will meet my needs. I now find I want to enter a large number of photos but as individual head shots and as group shots. I am at a loss as to how best to do save these jpgs. Previously, I saved them as 1 x 1 inch pictures in an external exhibit file so that they would appear easily on my journal reports. I am now thinking of doing everything in Second Site and was wondering if those same photos should be stored differently. I have a few thousand phots so having to save everyone in two different sizes would take more time than I have. Is there a way to save them as their originals and just have either program change the size for publication? Would love to hear what others do in this situation. Thanks! Helen May New York

    3. Helen, One option for your photos would be to use a batch process to create resized versions. Photoshop will of course do this, but so will Irfanview, which is free. You set up the desired parameters, tell it which folder you want done, and voila, you've got a set of appropriately sized images. The main thing is just to be sure you're not replacing your originals, but creating new versions. The one limitation as I remember is that there is one fixed size for the whole site, and no embedded exhibit embedded on a page can be bigger than that size, all oversized images will become a thumbnail as a link. -- Richard Damon
