    1. [TMG] Cannot Create Relationship Chart Reports (SOLVED)
    2. Ron Chenier
    3. For some of you who might have been interested in my problem but did not have an answer here is a solution from a kind soul had heard of this similar problem in the past and was able to provide me with a solution offered by Virginia Blakelock in a Whollygenes Forum. Here is the link that was provided to me: http://www.whollygenes.com/forums201/index.php?/topic/14688-program-error-me ssage-when-creating-reports-in-v804/?hl=wendy The one solution that worked for me from that thread was the removal of the file for Ralationships (.prt and.bk) from the Configurations Folder. That seemed to have solved my problem. When trying to create a Relationship Chart Report I get a Program Error: Declare DLL call caused an exception. 2. I click cancel. 3. A small screen next comes up showing that Converting stopped at 60%. 4. I then get the following: CHESNAY_.PJC -The Master Genealogist - Unknown member ROPROTECTIONMAN 5. I click ok. 6. Then I get the following error: Object GOREP is not found 21 FRMCHAR5.UNLOAD I know this is a very strange problem, but it leaves me unable to create this type of report which I often use to explain my relationship or other relationships. Doing some archival searching on this problem I once came across a GOOGLE search response where this file error was mention (in 2007) and Virginia Blake was responding to someone on this. However it did not contain the full Forum explanation, it seemed to have been some kind of archival record. But I cannot seem to get to it again for some reason. Would anyone be able to help me with this problem? PS: All other TMG reports work fine! Thank you, Ron Chénier http://chesnay.homestead.com/ http://www.bertrandchesnayfrancais.homestead.com

    3. Thanks for posting this Ron -- appreciated. I tried various things on my own system but couldn't replicate your precise problem. The exercise did lead me to realize that, probably ever since moving to Win 10, generating a relationship chart as a PDF file was no longer working for me. That is something I used to do on occasion but apparently hadn't even tried within the past half year or so. As one might expect I found the solution posted by Jim Byram on the Forum. Apparently many mail clients will be able to parse the result as a single URL in place of the broken URL shown quoted above... 3. Thanks for the suggestion Dennis. I'll keep that in mind for future long URLs. 3. The bracket trick doesn't work for me, so I go to https://tinyurl.com and paste the url there, then copy the short version, thus: https://tinyurl.com/ydx5zdoe Kathryn > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] > On Behalf Of Dennis Lee Bieber > > At 02:04 PM 3/22/2018, Ron Chenier wrote: > > >Here is the link that was provided to me: > >http://www.whollygenes.com/forums201/index.php?/topic/14688- > program-err > >or-me ssage-when-creating-reports-in-v804/?hl=wendy > > Just a small bit of general advice -- when inserting long URLs, it can help > to put < and > around them.
