In addition to my previous message concerning my problem of not being able to create Relationship Charts I will indicate in point form the sequence of events: 1. When trying to create a Relationship Chart Report I get a Program Error: Declare DLL call caused an exception. 2. I click cancel. 3. A small screen next comes up showing that Converting stopped at 60%. 4. I then get the following: CHESNAY_.PJC -The Master Genealogist - Unknown member ROPROTECTIONMAN 5. I click ok. 6. Then I get the following error: Object GOREP is not found 21 FRMCHAR5.UNLOAD I know this is a very strange problem, but it leaves me unable to create this type of report which I often use to explain my relationship or other relationships. Doing some archival searching on this problem I once came across a GOOGLE search response where this file error was mention (in 2007) and Virginia Blake was responding to someone on this. However it did not contain the full Forum explanation, it seemed to have been some kind of archival record. But I cannot seem to get to it again for some reason. Would anyone be able to help me with this problem? PS: All other TMG reports work fine! Thank you, Ron Chénier http://chesnay.homestead.com/ http://www.bertrandchesnayfrancais.homestead.com
Ron, Does it make a difference what you choose for Report Destination -- i.e. screen output or an actual file? If I do a Screen Preview it comes out alright to the screen. But when I try output to a file such a WORD, WP or PDF I cannot produce the report and get the error mentioned. The new report writer in TMG v9 sometimes doesn't geehaw with them and the more generic RTF resolves that problem Once the RTF is open, you can save it to DOC or whatever. Lee
Sorry Lee, I should also have mentioned that the same error occurs even when I try the report to RTF. Exasperating!
