    3. Be aware Jim that the Refugees site does not reflect (yet) the current state of play of the import functions just released in Legacy 9, or indeed the current version abilities of the other programs. And with regard to Legacy 9, it is probably too soon to comment fully as its import is very buggy, but will probably improve as they address the issues. In my tests, I entered the Citation Detail like this: James Smith||-||discussing John Smith's wife's death in 1874||15 Apr 2017 Be sure there is no space before or after the Exclusion Marker . Also, the comma in "<[LISTSERVE]>, discussion list" might be removed like "<[LISTSERVE]> discussion list". My results looked like this: [1]James Smith, KYBath discussion list, discussing John Smith 's wife's death in 1874, <www.somedomain.com>: accessed 2017. Lee

    3. John, thank you! I have some [CD]s created years ago that I thought used to work with exclusion markers in them to keep them blank. I think getting a "-" in the output is a new event but I cannot say for certain. I tried leaving it blank, and it works well. I am very close to finishing my review reviewing of data for people included in my SS site whose surname begins with "Tu." I'll be going to the NGS conference in a bit more than a week, but after that trip, I am so looking forward to making my SS site for the first time in years! When I click on Tools and Merge 2 people, I get >both people on my screen, I pick what I want merged and what I want >discarded. The "merge" is greyed out and does not highlight, I use >split screen or combined screen, no difference. Actually the persons are not in the same data set. Person ID#s in TMG when there is more than one data set have the data set ID# at the beginning of the Person ID# separated by a colon. Thus ID# 1:123 is person 123 from data set 1, and person 2.456 is person 456 from data set 2. When you merged the two data sets, the persons from the "merging from" data set were added to the "merged into" data set. BUT, the "merging from" data set remained untouched. Following the merge, did you delete the "merging from" data set? What happened is this: Before the merge: data set 1 had 1:123 data set 2 had 2:456 After the merge: data set 1 had 1:123 1:987 (formerly 2:456 and is a _copy_) data set 2 had: 2:456 You have likely already merged persons 1:123 and 1:987 leaving just 1:123 in data set 1, but data set 2 remains. IF you no longer need data set 2, you can delete it. Lee

The actual location was in Clark, Montgomery, and then Powell Counties. The earliest settlement in the area was supposedly by two brother who thought they had found gold about 1785, but had actually found pyrite (fool's gold). Thus the settlement may have first been in Bourbon or even Fayette.counties. There is a nice History Museum there. I have heard from talking with History Museum workers that there is also a Buddhist Temple -- I think a relatively recent addition to the area. Lee
