I am now the coordinator for the Thorne/Thorn DNA Project. I am happy to report we have 10 who have tested and waiting on 3 results. We however only have two that match. It seems odd as Thorn isn't a common name. We have tests form the following family lines- New York -no match, Virginia -2 matches, Maryland-no match, Ohio (Vermont?)-no match, Germany-no match, U K -no match ,. We do have three new tests we are waiting for New Jersey - New York- and South Carolina. Hopefully we will find another match from these three tests. We are still needing those to test to solidify the lines that have already tested. We also really want the Thomas Thorn from Va family to test, as well as those from West Virginia , Pennsylvania Etc. If you have a Thorn line that hasn't tested yet please encourage someone from the Thorne/Thorn line to test to confirm your family lineage. This project is growing rapidly and will soon help those that are trying to unravel their lineage from presumed lineage.
