More on Thomas Thorn The only THORN head of household I see in the area of Stafford and Richmond Counties in the period ca. 1690-1710 is a Thomas THORN who lived in Richmond County. He died in North Farnham Parish in 1717 (register). He left no will, and Jane THORNE (apparently his widow) became administratrix in 1718. Have not looked at his records in any depth, but the known names in his family do not connect to the names in William's family. You may have to look farther afield, perhaps to Maryland.
