Kinseeker (Bill) Ok! Mine was David Thorne [b.1800 Buckland Newton, Dorset, England d. BN after 1881married Harriet Saunders b.1800 BN .]They had ten children. My problem if there is one was proving who Davids father was. However the only two people I know researching the same line have come to the same conclusion as that of myself. More of that later maybe! The interesting thing is that no-one really new the name of my grandfather, which made things dificult to get started. It turns out that his name was Tom, the grandson of David, and Tom was my fathers name and mine. This Tom was the first traction raod roller driver on the Island of Portland, his son became a traction (steam engine) driver, his son (my father) was a steam engineer and by chance I became a steam engineer.
