I am a Thorne! My grandfather - Robert Ernest Thorne, b Nov 18, 1905, his father Albert Thorne, b 3 June 1862, in Guelph, Ontario, m Charlotte Adeline Ford on 20 Dec 1887. his father was John Thorne b abt 1826 in Jersey Isles m Mary Ann Masters b about 1825. I believe John immigrated to Canada, but cannot prove that, except for one census states Albert as being born in Ontario while his siblings were born in Jersey.
