I finally found the entire line I was looking for, the ancestors of Emily C[leveland] Thorne (1877-1968) and Cleveland May Thorne (1883-bef 1934). Their immigrant ancestor was William Thorne (ca 1617- bet 1657 & 1664) who immigrated to Mass. Bay Colony (adm. freeman 1638) and removed to Jamaica, NY. The entire line of his descendants can be found at http://thorn.pair.com/williamthorne1/d48.htm#P48 which link is still valid (checked it tonight to be sure). I saved only the line leading to the individuals I was interested in, but there is much more in the tree. I identified the father of Emily and Cleveland through the censuses for Yonkers, NY, in 1880 and 1900. This led me to the web site given above, where I found the rest of the line. I have not checked this tree myself, but the work appears to be solid (the Thornes are not in my family tree; the family in Yonkers were just very good friends of some of my direct ancestors).
