Andrew, Although not my immediate line it is good to see other active Thorn researchers. My earliest Ancestor known is William Thorn born abt 1685-1690 either in England or Virginia. Lived most of his life in Prince William Co Va. Died there in 1761. Had one son John born abt 1748 who I descend from. Good luck on your search. They preceded her in death. She was the first of eight children followed by Violet Stark, Lillie Tatum, Velma Mitchell, Ervin Thorn, Sue Carr, Bernice Lynch and Elmer Thorn, all who survive. On December 21, 1951 she married Kenneth Gene Smith at Reeds. They were blessed with three children, Kenneth Gene, Jr., Jerry Dean and Sherri Lynn. Her children and their spouses survive. Ken and Amy in Randolph, New Jersey, Jerry and Tara in Republic, Mo., and Sherri and Danny Perry, Bella Vista, Ark. They pastored seven churches in Missouri between the years of 1957 and 1992. On April 16, 1971, she obtained her Certificate of Ministry with the General Council of the Assemblies of God which authorized her to perform all essential functions of a certified minister according to the laws of the State of Missouri. More on Thomas Thorn The only THORN head of household I see in the area of Stafford and Richmond Counties in the period ca. 1690-1710 is a Thomas THORN who lived in Richmond County. He died in North Farnham Parish in 1717 (register). He left no will, and Jane THORNE (apparently his widow) became administratrix in 1718. Have not looked at his records in any depth, but the known names in his family do not connect to the names in William's family. You may have to look farther afield, perhaps to Maryland. That's all I have for time for now.

Does anyone have info on Thomas Thorn from Northern Neck of Va in early 1690-1710.. He was in Richmand Co about that time. I would like more info on him.
