    3. George, I found this on google search. I did have a lady e-mail me that she thought she had the book. We will see. Elmer William Thorn (M) b. between 1621 and 1623, #73546 Pop-up Pedigree William Thorn was the son of William Thorn. William Thorn was born between 1621 and 1623 at Halifax, Yorkshire, England. William Thorn was born in 1693 at Dorsetshire, England. He married Sarah Denton circa 1707 at Of, Dorsetshire, England; this marriage may have been to a different William Thorn. William Thorn married Mary Peck, daughter of Possibly father of Mary Robert Peck and Possibly mother of Mary Margaret (Unknown), before November 17, 1719. William Thorn married (Unknown) (Unknown). William Thorn married Mary Peck, daughter of Possibly father of Mary Robert Peck and Possibly mother of Mary Margaret (Unknown), in 1724; message posted to the Prince William County board by Laura Pack. Not verified. There is also an ancestral file with Sarah Denton born 1623/24 Bolton Yorkshire, England married to William Thorn 1639 Of Halifax, Yorkshire, England. Ancestral file in one instance shows all the children are from the marriage of William Thorn and Sarah Denton. Sarah Denton is listed as Willams spouse in Listed as William Thornes spouse in Eight Generations of William Thorne, by Joseph Middleton, 1913. William Thorn resided at at Dorsetshire, England. 1. William THorn-Mary Peck O'Rear-Sarah Muse/Carter
    2. Elmer Thorn
    3. I have been researching William Thorn and feel I am close to seeing that he was one and the same William Thorn that was married to : (1) ___ ? early 1700's (2) Mary Peck O'Rear abt 1723-24 and then (3) Sarah ___ Muse, Carter (William Thorn abt 1740's) Henry WIlson I have just received a lot of documentation form The Virginia Library that documents Land Purchases, Deeds,Wills, Tax Lists Etc. I do know that Sarah Muse Carter Thorn Wilson was John Thorn's (b late 1740's in Prince William Co) mother by him being executor of her will and that Sarah Thorn was appointed guardian of John Thorn and a sister Frances Carter in May 1762. John continues on through Prince William Co records until Oct 22 1806 where he sells the land granted to his father William Thorn in 1729 in then Stafford Co Va and quoted from document "He being the only son and heir at law" of WIlliam Thorn . In 1729 I believe that William Thorn was married to widow Mary (Peck) O'Rear as he was the step father of Daniel and John O'Rear. So you can see the connection between the two wives Mary Peck O'Rear and Sarah ___ ? Muse ,Carter,Thorn,Wilson. I hope this helps others researching either the Thorn, O'Rear or Muse -Carter lines as well. I am open to dialog on this. I also have documentation from a wonderful person ,DONALD WILSON, Librarian at Ruth E Lloyd Information Center (RELIC) Bull Run Regional Library. He has been most helpful and thorough as well. I will be glad to share this information with anyone that would like a copy.

    3. Hi Donna, I have seen many referrals of your research. You must be the woman with the goods. I am trying to follow my ancestor William Thorn who was married to Sarah Jackson -Muse -Carter and then married William Thorn abt 1740's. They had one son John b c1750 which I am a descendant from. We are under the impression that William b 1685 who was married to Mary Peck O'Rear was another William than ours. But now I am seeing too many close simularities such as our William bought some land from Thomas Whitledge in Prince William in 1748 . Daniel O'Rear had some land that bordered Thomas Whitledge on the Occaquan River. So did our Thorns. Daniel was a step son to William b 1685. I also see William that married Mary Pack had a daughter Esther before he married Mary Peck. And William 1685 was a guardian to John and Daniel O'Rear after their fathers death. Could WIlliam b 1685 have been married once before he married Mary Peck and then married Mary and had Susannah , and after Mary's death - been the William that married Sarah Jackson-Muse-Carter and had John with her.?????? so William children Esther b bef 1716 mother #1 Susannah b 1719 mother Mary Peck ORear John b abt 1750 mother Sarah Jackson-Muse-Carter-Thorn-Wilson. We have to be half crazy to figure all of this out!!! Any advise you have would be greatly appreciated. Elmer Thorn

    3. Jay, I have done that and everything matches except two females under 10 in the 1810 Prince William Co census. That could be two daughters that may have died or two daughters I never found who they married. One of the females showed up in the 1820 Jackson Co Ohio census that I couldn't account for. So actually only 1 female off. Sometimes they took in orphanes etc. so it's really hard to pipoint without names. Thanks for the suggestion. Et ----- Original Message ----- From: "J.M.
