John Ross was the son of George Washington Thompson and wife, Sarah. Family lore has it that Jane was full Cherokee. I am researching for a friend who is descended from Oakley Bynum Thompson. I have all census records from 1840 to 1930. I believe that Jane died before 1900. Any clues would be greatly appreciated.
