Jessica . Interested in your comment "the Thompsons came from Norway" . Have you had a DNA test . I am a R1a . I have always thought the Thompson "P" was taken from the old English double S written like fs and originated in Yorkshire with the coming of the Norse raiders . Were you thompson on arrival or did you anglosize a Norwegan name .
