My 2nd grandfather, Robert Fletcher Thompson, his son was born in1816, South Carolina. Altho my Robert Fletcher married a Harriett Singleton, also of the Carolinas, it is thought that his father came from Scotland. We are related to the Hays of Scotland and found out we are of the Stewart Clan. I have been reserching Robert for many years to confirm his arrival or his family.. but have not been able to.
