I think his wife's name was Sarah also born in Norway. All I have is the 1880 census saying they lived in Minn in 1880. Their son, John A Thompson (my g,grandfather), was b 1878 in Minnesota and was married to Gunda Hendricksen. My Grandfather is George John Thompson b 1906 in N Dakota.
