She married John W. Carter of Earlton, Kansas. Their children are Clara Esther Carter, Charley Elmer Carter, Ida and Bernice Carter. Charlotte also had 2 children from a previous relationship (she may have not been married)Willie and James Barkes or Barker born in Missouri and Kansas. It states in Census records that her parents were born in Virginia and Tennessee. I found a Charlotte Thompson with Alfred Thompson and wife Mary in 1860 Census in Illinois (but it states parents were born in Illinois.) However, I did find an Alfred Thompson born in Virginia with wife Julia born in Tennessee (in 1850 Census), but it has no mention of Charlotte in the Census.
