So I now know he was alive in 1870! Also would like to know if this Stephen is connected to my Thompson's? Were did you find this info? A cousin told me recently that James Thompson is the father of Lewis, she never said how she came to this conclusion, this is the James Thompson of Lee Co. VA, connected to The Thompson Settlement Church along with a Stephen Thompson!!! I am looking to find the minutes of the church? I have ran across a Nervesta Thompson I do believe in a census next to or real close to Lewis and Sarah? I'll have to look through what I have! Thanks for all this info...
