I am familiar with the Bakers of that area, but have not done any research on them. The Gilbert's have been easier to research! Its the Thompson's that are a problem! I was just contacted by a cousin who says that our Lewis/Louis Thompson was the son of James Thompson, this is another connection to The Thompson Settlement Church, so I am trying to track down all info on the church and all families connected which includes your Baker's, so any and all info on this area and families will be a great help!!!
