I'm researching my husband's family and can only get back to his g-grandfather, Robert, b. Ontario Canada circa 1844, migrated to Illinois and married Susan Caroline Varner in 1867. Robert's father came from England and his wife was from NY, per 1880 Census of Pope, Fayette, IL. Anyone in your family records who tie into this line of Thompsons?
