We now have six male Davidson DNA donors who match/closely match in Family 3. www.davidsongenes.org I just thought of a fifth Davidson/Thompson "connection." There was a John Thompson (apparently born circa-1720s) who was married to a Martha Davidson, and they had a daughter who married a Mr. Arbuckle. I suspect that this John Thompson was one of the sons of Matthew Thompson (his 1753 Augusta Co., VA will mentioned sons named Matthew "Junior," William and John....plus it strongly appears that there was another/oldest son who was named James Thompson who was already "well-established" when his father died.....this 1753 will also mentioned a daughter named Margaret Thompson, but it is POSSIBLE, I guess, that she was actually a daughter-in-law, since the will stated that she had five children).
