I didn't even know of the existence of Rootsweb and Family Search (being new to the genealogy search), and all the other services I've found have been fee-based (and, thinking they wouldn't have any more than ancestry.com, I didn't pursue them). I was thrilled to follow this family all the way back to 16th century England! And, it looks like I just might be related to our farrier, ha!
