He is a distant cousin of mine. I have recently obtained a photo of John with his brother and sisters and their father James William "Will" Thompson at their homestead in Michigan. Will's mother and Jack's grandmother was Elizabeth Armstrong, the sister of my 3rd great grandmother Sarah Ann Armstrong. Most of the Armstrong family was raised in PA, but for whatever reason Elizabeth and her husband James William Thompson moved to Michigan. I would be happy to share any information that I have.
