Short, medium build, brown eyes, balck hair I found it interesting that there was also a Albert Wilbert Jackson, living in New Orleans, born May 21, 1900, negro, laborer. Wilbert does not seem to me to be a common name, but I wonder if he was a brother to Eddie? 1910 census: New Orleans 407-460: Victoria Profit, head, black, 34, LA, LA, LA Annie Moore (white), boarder, 36, MS, MS, MS F-----Jackson, boarder, female, 29, black, LA, LA, LA Sarah Jackson, boarder, black, 23, LA, LA< LA Edward Jackson, boarder, 16, LA, LA, LA, porter Nicholas Andersson, black, 27, border, AL, AL, AL Anderson Maurit?, boarder, black, 35, LA, LA< LA Married in New Orleans index records: Olivia C. Jones and Edward Jackson Jr., 16 October 1916, Vol 39, page 119. births in New Orleans, index records: Olivia Jones (colored), father: Monroe; mother LuLu Hullum, born Feb 15, 1898 I looked for any other children born to Monroe and found another child born to a Monroe, but the mother was Mary Mermillion. The child was Elizabeth Camellia, born 8 July 1899, New Orleans. This Mary was born July 14, 1877, in New Orleans to Edward Marmillion and Elizabeth Jee. Now I also found a death for a Monroe Jones, who died 1 July 1916 in New orleans, colored, aged 35, page 836, vol 166. I also looked at the WWI draft cards for a Monroe to see if there is one - and then perhaps the death record is not your Monroe. There is not a WWI draft card (which would have been 1917ish) for a Monroe Jones - further stregthening this being your Monroe's death. And: Lulu Jones, aged 42, died 21 Nov 1920, New Orleans, colored, page 545, vol 180. There were two Olivia Jacksons who died in new Orleans: One died 16 Aug 1931, colored, age 35 and the other died 28 Apr 1932, colored, age 35. Also, a Monroe Jones aged 22, married Lola Holland, age 24, 8 Aug 1899, New Orleans. Lola and Lulu could be one in the same - Holland sourt of sounds like Hullum. Some ideas if you have not tried already: obtain Walters death certificate and see who the parents are on there. See if there are any births in Morgan City for him, I did not see on in New Orleans but those records are not complete apparently. You might also try random acts of genealogical kindness to see if someone is volunteering for New Orleans records. It is called "RAOGK". Sorry I could not be of more help. This is not my family.
