There are some very interesting maps at the websites listed. The person responsible for uploading the maps suggested that we share the site addresses with other mailing lists. I don't think they will help me with any of my research, but I thought some of you might find them helpful. They are very interesting to look at. Enjoy, Barb Crawford Hocking Co., OH I have finished uploading my maps and wanted to share my three projects with you. These are all extraordinary maps that show thousands of landowner names that could be useful in your research. You will appreciate the quality after you view them. Messages on our mailing lists often cut off the last part of long web site addresses so I'm using shortcuts below. All the maps are on the ROOTSWEB site. Pittsburgh and Allegheny City Maps for 1872 (40 maps) including Temperanceville, Birmingham, Saint Clair, Monongahela, Chartiers, Union, Sharpsburg, Ormsby, Millvale, Allentown, Mt. Washington and Etna http://tinyurl.com/6b7zoj Ohio River Maps for 1877 (67 maps) from Pittsburgh to Cincinnati http://tinyurl.com/3whb8z Philadelphia City Maps (7 maps) http://tinyurl.com/5hb8dv Please share these with any other lists you might subscribe to. You also have permission to link to them from your historical society, organization or county web site. I have heard from many of you since I started and I appreciate your encouragement to finish the project. I'm still interested in hearing how these might have helped you - that only encourages me to start another project.
