Likwise, we are ardently working towards building related branches of Thompson families with history from New Castle, Chester County, PA, various counties in Virginia, through North Carolina, into South Carolina and then into Georgia. The marriages between these THOMPSON's in the early counties formed from Wilkes County are of interest to us as many of their parents resided last in South Carolina before their migration after the land available through the lotteries... This James A. THOMPSON interests us for several reasons--the time frame, the geographical area, and we would like to learn more about him....
