Author: peterphilip1 Surnames: THOMPSON Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.thompson/17122/mb.ashx Message Board Post: The Thompson family were from Bridlington and had many sons and daughters in the Tailoring Trade.They moved about the country from Yorks to Devon and set up roots in Liverpool.The Thompson family go back many years to 1700s in East Yorks.Harry Thompson emigrated to NY in the USA in 1910/11 but I have no information on him just to say his wife and children returned to England abt 1912.Harry was born in 1887 Liverpool.The Thompsons have many other names in the tree ie Dodd Lister Yates McKevitt.Any information to me is helpful particulary in the United States and Yorkshire.
