This is from Robert Barnes, BALTIMORE COUNTY FAMILIES, 1659-1759, (Baltimore: Clearfield Co., Inc., 2002 reprint), p. 336. It appears that the original reference is the Register of St. George's Protestant Episcopal Church. Transcription at the Maryland Historical Society, p. 178. St. George's is located in what is now Harford County, MD but Harford County was formed out of "Old" Baltimore County. I do not know if this ties into your Holt family but there are a lot of the early settlers of Cannon County that came from that area.
