William Thompson came from scotland (died in Ireland) but wife Jane?) and children came to the colonies. There were several children including Alexander, Hugh and others. Believe some settled in East Windsor. Alexander was in the American Revolution. A connected family was named Ellsworth. Sorry, this is all from memory. I lost all the info on this family due to a computer glitch. Some of my cousins thought this was my family but it was not. Hope this is of some help. Good luck.
