He was born 1795ish and died in Dec 1852 , the same year as his son Robert b 1830. He had at least five sons as Millar Thompson b 1833 is described somewhere as his fifth, and at least two daughters: Jane Sloan Thompson m Batwell and Marcella Legge Thompson m McCann. Another son William Henry emigrated to the states Still no idea where Richard K came from - however one document shows Hannah Magee as his wife. If I find an Almond connection I'll be back in touch.. Your James would be the same generation as Richard K. Other surnames used as second names in the family are Black, Magee, Kerr.
