Family lore says Andrew came from Guilford County, NC to Georgia in 1805. He named a son Guilford Greene Thompson. Several trees on ancestry show father as Jesse Thompson. An Andrew Thompson of Hall County did settle the estate of a Jesse Thompson in Franklin County, GA 1818-1825. Mother is shown as Nancy Clarke on ancestry trees.
