He was 73. Harold was born May 13, 1939 in Pontiac to the late Archie R. and Mary E. (nee: Jeffrey) Thompson. He is survived by his wife, Julie (nee: Maddix) Thompson whom he married June 2, 1962; three children, Harold Robert Thompson Jr., Lynne Ann Hayes and Archie Thompson; six grandchildren, Andrea, Anthony, Harold III, Ashley, Tiffany, and Jonathan; two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Alaina; two sisters, Shirley Howell and Lorraine (Sam) Beydown. Harold retired from GM in 1997. His passion was cars- he loved racing and building race cars. A funeral service was held Nov. 24 at Coats Village Funeral Home, Ortonville.
