What you've given us so far is very general information, which makes it easy to find way too many people and difficult to pin down which ones are yours. I did find a Donald Thompson, with spouse Emma, and daughter Donna, living in Cleveland in 1940. http://tinyurl.com/n679r8g Did your grandmother have a sister Grace and a brother Robert? Without some sort of dates, even a range, it's going to be very difficult to pin this down. Was your grandmother 60 when she died? Or 90? It can make a lot of difference.
