I am the 2nd great granddaughter of John and Margaret Logan-Thompson. Mahala Emma Asher Thompson is NOT a child of John and Margaret. She lived with them after her mother died. She married Winfred Brashear. When the mother's died and if the father felt he could not care for the child. He gave them to a family they thought would be good for the child.
