She was possibly married to Henry James Thompson and they had a daughter named Mary Elmar Thompson. Mary Elmar Thompson married Joseph Cain and they were my grandparents. They had one child, Joseph Eugene Cain (my father). Mary Elmar Thompson was born in Wilmington North Carolina. She was half-Native American. I am trying to find out if Julie Ann Strickland was Native American or if it was her husband. I have very little information about my grandparents and great-grandparents. Any help you can possibly give me will be greatly appreciated.
