You are right on the Daniel F. Thompson info, his son jesse robert thompson is my greatgrandfather, who was born in Nebraska, and I still live here today. Daniels wife was Lydia Ann Wagner, dau. of Jesse Wagner. I have come to the same James Thompson and Caroline as Daniels father. The location/time frame work well, and Daniel listed his father as born in VA. and mother in Ohio, so this also fits. What Im trying to do locate a country of origin for this Thompson line. My quess is Northern British or Irish. I can not find any possible parents for James or Caroline, Daniels parents. I run into a dead end with James and Caroline. James parents are both listed as being born in va. and Caroline is listed as conneticut and England. Any info on them would be great. Daniels son Francis had a son named Daniel, and this may be the other Daniel F. you found, it makes perfect sense. Daniel(my gggrandfather), is buried in El Cajon Cal, so its another clue to the family. This gives me great confidence that Im on the right line( I know the info on Daniel and his wife are correct as info handed down from my mother, but am uncertain on the father, but am thinking that James makes since. Any more info on James and Caroline would be great, or Thompsons in the Va area in the 1820s. Thank you so much!!!!
