I've seen some references to a random John, but they link John to Capt. James which I'm almost sure is wrong. Does anyone have any ideas? :) His son, Archibald was born in 1832 in Butler and Archibald then took his family (wife Catherine, children: Samuel C (my line), William, Perry, Joseph, Charles, Mary Ann, Sarah, John, Thomas, etc, etc) to Mercer PA around perhaps 1890. Samuel's wife is Mary, Archibalds wife is Catherine, and the younger Samuels wife is Rebecca Redmond/Redman. Thanks so much!
