Robert Thompson married to Surrissa Lockwood.  (her name often misspelled.) Children:  Polly, Sarah, Joseph, Smith & Ellen. It appears that there was another Robert Thompson in Rose Twp, Oakland County, MI at the same time my Robert lived in Michigan.  Our family was in Oakland County for the 1850 census and moved to the Cass County/Van Buren County area. Taking this as an opportunity to show what a subject line might look like and hopefully others will follow this trend and get away from the "I want to talk to any Thompson" thread.
